NYCLU And NYPD Confidential Blogger Sue NYPD For Ray Kelly's Schedule

The NYCLU along with an investigative journalist are suing the NYPD for failing to release Commissioner Ray Kelly's daily schedule. Len Levitt, a former Newsday reporter and author of the blog NYPD Confidential, filed a FOIA request in February asking for Kelly's schedule dating back to 2002, so that he could determine who he's met with since. The NYPD denied the request twice, and cited that to do so "would endanger both the commissioner and the people with whom he had met."

NYCLU Director Donna Lieberman said in a statement, “There is no good reason for Commissioner Kelly to withhold this information from the public. Even President Obama’s public schedule appears every day on the White House’s website." Levitt, who has been identified by Kelly himself as "the only reporter in New York with balls," says, “In all the decades that I’ve been covering the NYPD, there has never been less transparency than there is today. Nobody knows what the Police Department is doing."

Levitt's initial request was spurred by a column that revealed that Kelly lunched with prominent New Yorkers at the Harvard Club, spending more than $15,000 there in 2008, "the year he was seriously considering running for mayor." Kelly didn't have to pay his Harvard Club dues, as they were being picked up by the NYC Police Foundation.

NYPD now taking your photo for their Pre-Crime database !

An NYPD officer steps behind his unmarked car to takes pictures of a motorist's license while his partners distract the motorist with conversation. NYPD has gone from writing down the information of the people they stop, to now taking photos with their smart-phones to add your picture to their pr-crime criminal database.

This is the first time I have ever seen an NYPD cop take a photo of a person license and this come just after a story came out on a biometrics iPhone scanner called (MORIS) to help with border control and so-called terrorism.
Moris is a Hand held Iris, Fingerprint, and Facial iPhone Recognition System that uses an iPhone to take a persons picture so it can stored or cross reference in their criminal data base using bio-metrics software.

I am personally sick and tired of the NYPD storing the personal information of innocent people and now they are taking street side mug shots to criminalize everyone they stop. It is clear in this video that the one officer walks behind the car so the motorist can not see him taking pictures of his license and paper work.

The NYPD is engaging in pure trickery and can't be trusted as each day wire taps land more and more corrupt cops behind bars as they use their badges to commit crimes while locking up and cataloging the innocent. Is this the real reason why the city is always broke and has no money for schools, fire departments or health clinics ?

8 NYPD cops ... 1 Loud Muffler !!!

A car with 3 young males is stopped by an NYPD van for playing loud music and having a loud muffler system. The 3 men that happen to be black are surrounded by 8 NYPD police officers as if they had just robbed a bank
at gun point and back up was needed to apprehend them.

During this traffic stop, one of the officers opens the door to the motorist's vehicle as if he could not talk to the motorist through the open window, his true intention was to open door and hopefully see something that might lead to an arrest. This is a everyday occurrence in the Bronx which has the highest
rate of unemployment and poverty in New York City due to it's high minority makeup.

As a result, most of the populace living below the poverty level are continuously preyed upon by the NYPD which relentlessly stop people for any excuse they can think of in hopes of arresting that person and adding them to the ever growing prison population. The poorest people of New York are not protected but hunted down and every possible avenue taken to make an arrest which goes towards the officers monthly quota which insures him or her favorable assignments, sick days, vacations and perhaps after enough arrest and summons....a promotion.

This is all done off the backs of the unfortunate and struggling people of New York which are not eligible for protection, only exploitation and oppression. Bare witness to modern day slavery, how those who can not afford legal defense are hunted down under the cover of darkness to join the booming inmate population where they work for pennies a day. This takes jobs away from those who have went to college or trade school and are still in dept for the education they received.

It is nothing less than terrorism when the people that are supposedly here to protect you go out of their way to fabricating stories and make up any way possible to arrest and incarcerate you. One NYPD cop called the act of arresting innocent black people " frying Niggers " The NYPD is nothing more than a highly funded, well organized gang that does whatever they want and will break any law to achieve their agenda which is the incarceration of the poor and all unpopular races and religions that have been demonized in America and throughout the western world.

It is a huge mistake to allow the NYPD to have a monopoly over the protection of the New York City as they use this false guise to gain the trust of the masses while secretly hunting innocent people to secure their own jobs and aid the corporations and investors that profit from the incarceration of

Stop and Frisk protesters arrested in Harlem.

Protesters marched in Harlem against NYPD's stop and frisk program that has stopped close to 700,000 people this year alone. NYPD arrested some of the protesters which refused to be silenced in this police practice which for the most part targets Blacks, Latinos and the poor.

The protesters where from all races and symbolized the unity of the human race in the face of tyranny and oppression, something the corrupt members of NYPD hate to see as they like the population divided so they can step in as the saviors and make arrest and write summons.

NYPD has been exposed for the criminal organization that it is which targets citizens and even their own officers by forcing them to harass the very people they are sworn to protect and serve. It is my hope and wish that a full Federal investigation is lunched and the top brass along with Raymond Kelly are brought to justice for crimes against hundreds of thousands of innocent New Yorkers.

NYPD officers plead guilty to prison FIGHT CLUB extortion scheme.

3 NYPD corrections officers that worked at the adolescent jail on Rikers Island plead guilty to ordering the beaten of Christopher Robinson when he refused to pay the extortion money. They ran an intimidation extortion scheme they dubbed "The Program" which had inmates living in fear of violence if they didn't pay up while they were incarcerated.

When Christopher refused to pay the extortion money to Officer Michael McKie " aka "Mack" and Officer Khalid Nelson aka "Net" the guards ordered other inmates to beat him up which ultimately killed him. The officers plead guilty the day they were supposed to go to trial and are only expected to serve only 1 to 2 years for murdered.

Christopher Robinson was only in jail for a minor probation violation and it cost him his life at the hands of greedy and evil NYPD officers that were supposed to be there to keep order in the prison. This is the result of them hunting young New Yorkers on a daily basis and arresting people for non-violent crimes.

Inmates end up getting threatened and extorted at the hands of power hungry control freaks that abuse their authority to exploit the weak and vulnerable. We have got to put a stop to the stop and frisk program that seeks to put minority men into fight club situations that can cost them there lives as in the case of Christopher Robinson.

NYPD cop gets away with raping woman in her Manhattan apartment.

On the seventh day of deliberations, jurors found Moreno and Mata not guilty of raping a 27-year-old woman inside her East Village apartment.

However, the officers were found guilty of the much lesser charges of official misconduct. They are scheduled to be sentenced June 29 and could face up to two years in prison, though they might only get probation.

During the trial, Moreno and Mata testified they broke Police Department guidelines by not telling their bosses they were going back to the woman's apartment. Moreno even said he made a fake 911 call so a dispatcher would send him to the building.

In a statement, Manhattan District Attorney Cyrus Vance Junior said, in part, "We respect the jury's verdict, which acknowledges that the defendants' actions that night not only violated the law, they violated the victim's rights, and the public's trust."

Federal prosecutors have accused a New York City police officer of falsely arresting a black man based on race.

A criminal complaint unsealed Monday in Brooklyn alleges that Michael Daragjati stopped and frisked the man in April on Staten Island without proper cause.

The complaint says that when the man complained, the officer arrested him and filed a false report saying he had resisted arrest.

On the heels of mass protest in Manhattan over police brutality, I come across a group of NYPD cops flinging a man around like a rag doll splitting his head wide open ..... Full story below

After hearing some commotion from across the street I looked over to see a NYPD cop flinging a man around on the sidewalk. As I approached with my camera phone in hand, I moved through a small crowd of onlookers to find a group of cops piled on top of the man they had just forcefully taken down to the ground.

As they begin to lift the man up off the sidewalk a female officer yells at the crowd to move "this is not a show". The officer than began to curse profanity at the people in front of their children as the crowd reacted to blood pouring from the man's head.

The female officer spoke to adults and children as if she were speaking to prison inmates even though no one was interfering with the arrest. I asked one woman what had happened being that I didn't see the initially confrontation and she told me the man was approached by police and when he asked them what happened they flung him into a wall.

Another woman asked me shortly after if I recorded the incident and I told her yes, I than asked her what had happened and she said the police asked the man to move, and when he didn't move immediately he was assaulted by the police. Everyone I had spoke to told me the same thing, that the man had did nothing to warrant the attack.

In conclusion, even though all witness I spoke with said the man did nothing to get his head cracked opened, all the police have to say is they felt threatened or he tried to attack them and they will face no charges.

A federal judge in an 86-page decision ruled that a lawsuit by several plaintiffs raises serious questions about quotas, racial profiling, and constitutional rights that should be heard by a jury:

Despite attempts to have it thrown out, the Center for Constitutional Rights' lawsuit accusing the NYPD of "stop and frisk" racial profiling will proceed. Yesterday Judge Shira A. Scheindlin ruled that there was enough evidence, stating, "This case presents an issue of great public concern... the disproportionate number of African-Americans and Latinos who become entangled in our criminal justice system, as compared to Caucasians."

NYPD data shows that about 85 percent of the stops are conducted on non-whites, but NYPD commissioner Raymond Kelly has long maintained that these stops are more about the demographics of criminals than racial profiling. The court's ruling comes on the heels of news showing that the NYPD is on pace to stop and frisk more people than ever before. The Daily News reports that 317,000 people were stopped between January 1 and June 30, an increase of almost 14 percent from last year. Last year was a record too, in case you were wondering.

The increasing number of stops is troubling, said Darius Charney, a lawyer with the Center for Constitutional Rights. "We had 575,000 in 2009, just over 600,000 in 2010, and we're now on pace for over 700,000 this year," Charney tells the Times. "All this is in an era of either declining or flat crime rates, which begs the question: Is there really a need for this many stops?"

2 rookie cops ambush motorist at a traffic light looking for reasons to write tickets and make arrest. This is what the NYPD trains it's officers to do if they want to advance through the ranks. They tax poor and middle class neighborhoods with tickets and summons blitzes instead of protecting and serving like they claim they are there to do.

Watching these 2 officers in action really showed me what the NYPD is all about, how they take men and woman and turn them into predators that prey on the unsuspecting public ... true wolves in sheep's clothing.

The only thing these 2 cops want is a squad car and a pay raise and they will destroy as many lives as they have too in order to get it. These are modern day pirates that use a slew of bogus laws to extract money from a jobless struggling population.

2 NYPD Rookie cops ambush a motorist at a red light on the corner of White Plains and Boston Road in the Bronx and than arrest both the driver and passenger for one small pocket knife. To add insult to injury another 2 rookie cops show up and look to meet their quotas by writing tickets for window tinted windows. With all the money that NYPD generates with tickets and arrest, Mayor Michael Bloomberg continues to close down fire houses and schools and every other facility and center the the poor and middle class depend on to survive.

2 NYPD rookie cops that have been plaguing my Bronx community with mass ticket writing, Constitutional rights violations and arrest are given a patrol car by their superiors for a job well done. In a borough known for mass poverty and joblessness, these 2 cops had no problem sinking people more into dept by handing them high priced summons or carting them off to jail.

It should be clear to anyone with common sense that the police are not here to keep the defenseless safe but to exploit and extort the struggling population in a crumbling economy and wait for citizens to give into crime to survive. These 2 cops have got to be the lowest of the low as I have never seen such total disregard for people's rights as I have witness at the hands of these 2 NYPD rookie cops.

This video gives credence to the testimonies of police officers Adil Polanco and Adrian Schoolcraft who recorded their superiors pressuring them to write tickets and make arrest if they wanted to keep their jobs and be in good standing. The NYPD are preying on an unarmed population and in this video I catch these 2 cops fabricating a story about smelling weed to violate this man's 4th amendment right that protects him against illegal search and seizure.

Crooked NYPD cops from Long Island stop a motorist and search him and every square inch of his vehicle looking for a reason to turn him into a modern day slave. Each day I watch as the police violate the 4th amendment of every poor and middle class citizens they come across in hopes of making an arrest.

NYPD traffic agent double parks to go buy a donut which carries a fine of $115.00 dollars for the average New Yorker. After returning to his vehicle he issues a parked minivan a ticket before biting into his donut and driving off. Here in New York law enforcement break every law that citizens must obey, here is yet another example .

Quota driven police force may cost motorist their LIVES ! ... Part 1 of 2

On the corner of White Plains Road and Gun Hill Road in the Bronx where I was almost shot by a Rookie cop, I return to find that it is now common practice for rookie police to approach vehicles with their hand on their gun afraid of the people they stop for minor traffic infractions. This takes place as a NYPD captain circles the block in his squad car overseeing the rookie cops assigned to this corner.

On the corner of White Plains Road and Gun Hill Road in the Bronx where I was almost shot by a Rookie cop, I return to find that it is now common practice for rookie police to approach vehicles with their hand on their gun afraid of the people they stop for minor traffic infractions. This takes place as a NYPD captain circles the block in his squad car overseeing the rookie cops assigned to this corner.

NYPD gives young bicycle riders summons to appear in criminal court ... Police oppression now in HD

As schools close for summer recess and the youth look for ways to occupy their time in the after math of massive cuts to everything courtesy of Mayor Michael Bloomberg's ... The NYPD accelerate their summons and ticket writing campaign to ensure they don't feel the effects of the recession we are now in.

On this particular night I come across a NYPD cruiser that has driven into oncoming traffic to issue a group of young men summons for riding their bicycles on the side walk. The young men stated to me that they were called out of a nearby parking lot they were in by police that didn't even bother to get out of their vehicle to issue them the summons.

This constant targeting of young men in New York ensures that the criminal court house lines will always be wrapped around the corner as they are each morning to fuel the ever growing prison industry or provide free slave labor called community service. In these grave times of economic hardship the middle class and poor are offered summons, forcible pat downs and arrest instead of jobs people desperately need to support themselves and families.

I have watched as the citizens of New York have been reduced to nothing more than cattle that can be herded into court houses where they are told how much they have to pay to be forgiven for breaking the law. Will this every change or has NYPD's image of false image of good overridden the fact that they are funneling more people into the criminal justice system than ever before.

For now we can only hope and dream that one day we the people can enjoy the same no intrusive life that the wealthy enjoy in their upscale neighborhoods where they are greeted by police with smiles and tipping of hats.

NYPD cop caught helping fellow cop meet his quota !

A NYPD cop yells across a busy Bronx side walk to a fellow cop asking him if he wants to write a cell phone ticket. Blatantly helping another officer to meet his summons quota at the expense of a citizen who also has his 4th amendment right violated on a busy public street.

NYPD cops are being pressure by their superiors to write summons and make arrest and as a result many poor and middle class citizens are being plunged into further dept and poverty. All that seems to matter to the NYPD is keeping the court house lines long with fresh finacial victims streaming in until closing.

NYPD protection has now turned into full blown oppression and many residents of this Bronx neighborhood were visibly and vocally upset and outraged with the constant harassment and ticketing of local residents that live, work and go to school in the area.

I am calling all Americans to unite and let NYPD know " we are not your stimulus package or bailout" ... we will no longer be the fuel for you institute of abuse and corruption. This ends NOW !!

Another week, another commanding officer is caught confirming that the NYPD uses illegal quotas: NYPD transit Lt. Janice Williams was secretly recorded by another officer telling cops to make more arrests to appease higher-ups. "All they care about is...summonses and arrests and 250s [referring to the NYPD Stop, Question and Frisk reports]. The bottom line is everybody's individual activity is being looked at," she said. This does beg the question: is every decent cop carrying around a tape recorder nowadays?
Williams, who was recorded in Transit District 34 in Coney Island, is also heard saying that only officers with "good productivity" will get the opportunity to work overtime, and that Capt. James Sheerin wanted every cop to make at least one arrest per month because crime had spiked and arrest totals were lower than other transit districts: "He wants everyone to get in the mindset that there's no more collar a quarter," Williams said.
The recordings were obtained by Jon Norinsberg, the lawyer for Officer Adrian Schoolcraft, who has publicly accused the NYPD of manipulating crime stats and forcing cops to meet quotas. He is now suing the NYPD for $50 million for trying to discredit and silence him by throwing him in a psych ward unwillingly. Adding more fuel to the fire, a jury in a separate case recently ruled that quotas are real, and they motivate and affect NYPD cops's arrests.
NYPD spokesman Paul Browne called Williams "a crime fighter who was appropriately instructing officers at roll call to do the same." But Norinsberg challenged his defintion of crime fighter, and the NYPD's doublespeak usage of the term "productivity goals": "The NYPD can use code words such as "productivity" and "activity" all they want, but when officers are told that they have to hit certain numbers every month - or face the consequences - that's a quota. Period. When a captain tells police officers that they have to arrest someone every month, that's a quota, no matter what the NYPD says."
